KID'S UNIVERSITY PRESCHOOL & DAYCARE, INC.
|

Kid's University follows a curriculum which involves a weekly theme,
a weekly focus on a letter of the alphabet, and foreign language
instruction. Each classroom creates weekly lesson plans that
incorporate such things as the theme, the letter of the week, Spanish,
art, music & movement, math, science, center time, and motor skills.
We feel that communication is extremely important. Therefore, a
daily report is sent home with the infants and toddlers. The
preschool classrooms send a class newsletter home three times per
week. Progress reports and conferences are done twice a year to let
you know how your child is progressing socially, cognitively, and
physically throughout the year. If at any time, you would like to
request a conference or to meet with a teacher, all you have to do is
ask. We are always available to discuss your child's progress with
you.
Family involvement is key at Kid's University. We have several
outings and special events here at the center to which parents,
grandparents, and siblings are welcome and encouraged to attend. In
the past, we have brought in speakers from the police and fire
departments to speak on "Stranger Danger" and fire safety, a magic
wizard show, Iguana Joe and his animal friends, a Moonwalk of fun
in the back yard and many more special attractions. The holidays
are always a fun and festive time here at the center as well.
Christmas programs with the children, Valentine's Day parties,
Halloween Fall Festivals, and the Easter party with a visit from the
Easter Bunny are just a few of the special holiday events that are
shared here at Kid's U!
We feel that Kid's University provides a healthy head start for
Kindergarten with all of the hands-on activities and events to which
they are exposed in their time at the center. We are always open to
suggestions, complaints, new ideas, etc. The director and/or
assistant director are available at any time during the day to discuss
any concerns that you may have. Please don't hesitate to call.
