Welcome to Toddler One
Home of the "Busy Bees"

This is our youngest group of toddlers. The children in this group
range in age from 18 months to 2 1/2 years old. Our goal in this
classroom is to encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical
growth by providing many opportunities to discover and explore. A
typical day consists of:

*Morning and afternoon circle time: songs, stories & finger
plays, introduction to the alphabet, numbers, colors and
shapes
*Center Time: blocks, puppets, family living, puzzles, books,
table-top manipulatives, cars, etc.
*Art: Each day the children are engaged in an art project such
as painting with pudding, cutting and gluing, coloring, etc.
*Science: Cooking, mixing, and exploring
*Music & movement: gross motor activities such as dancing to
music, musical chairs, making a band, and exercising
*Story time: Each day, new and exciting stories are
introduced - the children LOVE to be read to.
*Nap time: from noon to 2 pm every day
*Breakfast, snack, and lunch are provided daily
*Two recess times in which the children are free to enjoy the
1/2 acre enclosed playground which is equipped with bikes,
swings, slides, and climbers
*Introduction to potty training throughout the day
